WOW Audio
What Type of Musician are You?
There are Three Types of Musicians
- The Creative musicians, artistic persons, composers who have the capacity for creating new musical structures and who find original forms of musical expression.
- The Performing Artists who know how to articulate the language of music by making it audible and intelligible.
- The Listeners who are as important to the making of music as the performers. They are the people who make sense from what they hear. They understand and enjoy music, but do not necessarily become musicians.
The common denominator between all three is that they are Heart Oriented.

Katya Chilly “Svetlytsa” (11.28 mins) on The Voice of the Ukraine
Coming from an inner Silence, translating that stillness from inside out. So ‘filling’ and patiently robust. Later on in this video, when she sings with others, she maintains her inner listening which the others ride on.
Mohammad Eghbal (5.35 mins) performs & improvises mystical texts of Sufi poets accompanied by the oriental reed flute, Nye. His understanding of Rumi’s work & his deeper insights makes the Ney come to sing & come to life. All Mohammad’s pieces are his own compositions, interpreted in a new way during each concert and therefore emerge as unique performances each time. He was born in 1940 in Teheran.
The HU – “Yuve Yuve Yu” (5.52 mins) has nearly 37 million viewings for a reason. Just listen to this … WOW!
This is a Mongolian folk metal band – between rock, rap, Nordic folk metal & shamanic journeying. Listen to his horsehead fiddle neigh like a horse! I don’t resonate with the Genghis Khan fight – but rather with the robust energy, beat, movement & primal throat singing….oh boy you will smile & move. It’s exciting!
The HU – “Wolf Totem” (6.36 mins) LARGE sound…a large landscape in which bold brave people live. Yet it starts with silent space & the small; & returns to it at the end…ethereal! Modern day motorbike horsepower crosses the land like Mongolian horses still do. Primal overtone throat singing stirs a wonderful pulse & movement. See how you move when listening to this without a smile. It’s satisfying! Let me know what you think? 🙂
“Language of Silence” by Deuter (10.11 mins) Born in 1945 in Germany, Deuter is a musician who pioneered New Age Music for over 50 years connecting East & West. Throughout the decades his music has always been incredibly creative & ahead of its time. I appreciate that his music slows down to breathe space into it – suggesting the emptiness & beauty between the sounds. Music that has simplicity & is easy to make connection to feel in the flow.

“Happens to the Heart” (5.09 mins) by Leonard Cohen. His voice & poetry of this masterpiece stirs something deep.

“Poem Of The Atoms” (Rumi 1207b) – Music by Armand Amar – (2.14 mins)
The music takes me on a fabulous journey of love through the night sky lit by a million
stars.
O’ day, arise! shine your light , the atoms are dancing. Thanks to Him the universe is
dancing, overcome with ecstasy, free from body and mind. I’ll whisper in your ear where
their dance is leading them. All the atoms in the air and in the desert are dancing, puzzled
and drunken to the ray of light, they seem insane. All these atoms are not so different than
we are, happy or miserable, perplexed and bewildered. We are all beings in the ray of LIGHT
from The Beloved, nothing can be said.

Captivating! One of the best bands ever. A sublime journey in which to succumb to the sound & interpretation of Bulgarian folk vocals. Lisa Gerrard makes these Balkan vocal techniques her own & meanders into other styles of unbelievable singing with lyrics that are a made-up language from within her.
Rumi, the father of Iranian mystic poetry & the pride of Iran. Iranians from the land of Aryans, Mithra, Zoroaster & Buddha! (3.4 mins)
