What Type of Musician are You?

There are Three Types of Musicians

  1. The Creative musicians, artistic persons, composers who have the capacity for creating new musical structures and who find original forms of musical expression.
  2. The Performing Artists who know how to articulate the language of music by making it audible and intelligible.
  3. The Listeners who are as important to the making of music as the performers. They are the people who make sense from what they hear. They understand and enjoy music, but do not necessarily become musicians.
The Creative musicians, The Performing Artists, The Listeners - all 3 are heart oriented.
The common denominator between all three is that they are Heart Oriented.

The HU - "Yuve Yuve Yu" has nearly 37 million viewings for a reason. Just listen to this ... WOW!

This is a Mongolian folk metal band - between rock, rap, Nordic folk metal & shamanic journeying. Listen to his horsehead fiddle neigh like a horse! I don't resonate with the Genghis Khan fight - but rather with the robust energy, beat, movement & primal throat singing....oh boy you will smile & move. It's exciting!

The HU - "Wolf Totem". LARGE sound...a large landscape in which bold brave people live. Yet it starts with silent space & the small; & returns to it at the end...ethereal!  Modern day motorbike horsepower crosses the land like Mongolian horses still do. Primal overtone throat singing stirs a wonderful pulse & movement. See how you move when listening to this without a smile. It's satisfying! Let me know what you think? :-)

"Language of Silence" by Deuter. Born in 1945 in Germany, Deuter is a musician who pioneered New Age Music for over 50 years connecting East & West. Throughout the decades his music has always been incredibly creative & ahead of its time. I appreciate that his music slows down to breathe space into it - suggesting the emptiness & beauty between the sounds. Music that has simplicity & is easy to make connection to feel in the flow.
